The fastest way to move certain map assets to another project

So the only way I know is to:

  1. Select the props I want from Outliner and copy their filepath.

  2. Paste it in Notepad.

  3. Migrate assets and select by hand based on information in Notepad.

The problem with that is that the copied filepath isn’t sorted, so I have to go back and forth, and it’s really time-consuming. Is there a faster way to do it?

I’d say it depends :

  • If you want to copy assets, then you can select them in your Content Browser > Right Click > Asset Action > Migrate

  • If you want to copy actors (assets placed in the map), then you can select them in your Outliner > Right Click > Edit > Copy.
Go to your other project > Right Click somewhere in the viewport > Edit > Paste / Paste Here

  • If you want both, you can try to migrate before copy pasting, I’m not sure how it would react though, you have to test it :man_shrugging:
