Without realizing it, you’re limiting the classic themes that have always been part of the game: 1v1, all guns, one shot, red vs. blue… Classic map themes are the most beloved in the ecosystem. Not everything that’s as professional as possible is what works best; you can see that for yourselves with your own Epic maps. Fixing the main problem of map spam doesn’t mean completely ruining Creative mode. The game is dying more each day, and these decisions are accelerating its demise. This summer and this coming holiday season are definitely your last chance.
The main problem with map spam lies with the creators who duplicate maps and use bots on their own maps to manipulate the algorithm. The problem was never with the people who spam maps by creating them from scratch. I think you should perhaps be more concerned about the main problem. I support having some control within the system, but I don’t support forcing players to play map themes they don’t know and don’t really want to play by prioritizing those maps over the rest.
I’m no longer going to work on my Fortnite maps. I’ve been doing this for three years, since I started the business, but lately you’ve all been making a mockery of us, and Creative Mode isn’t working at all.
The only solution to save Creative Mode is to revert to how it was designed on July 15, 2025.
