Really great work, Seth! I love how much thought you put into planning out the story and aesthestics beforehand, it really comes across. The pacing of the music with the shot transitions is great as well.
Perhaps this eventually became your intention but I love how eerily similar the shape of the monster is compared to itās environment ( all the crooked tree branches ) Itās as if it was always in view of the camera, but we just didnāt know it.

Wow, thank you so much! Yeah, both the general idea for the scene and the monster, were ideas that Iāve been cooking up in my head for a while, but when I saw the challenge everything just kind of clicked together like puzzle pieces and I knew exactly what I wanted and what I needed, and I think it worked out well. Like you were saying with your piece, itās definitely something I would like to explore more in the future. I am currently working on a detailed rig for the monster right now so I can create some animations for it. But again, thank you so much! I really appreciate your words.

Iām not sure if youāre planning on updating the creature model but if you are search for Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva Itās this really unfortunate disease which replaces muscle with bone. I think might be useful reference as your creature made me think of it.

Okay so I looked into that disease and god, it is absolutely awful! And I think im set on the model I have right now, but all of the images I saw will definitely be burned into the back of my mind when I sculpt some friends.

The Butcher of Blackwood is a solid name for a horror survival-driven story game! The hype is real; no pressure, of course, but I would love to see this creation made into a full-blown game as well!
