Visibility based style is fast and sharp, photoconsistency based style is slower with more complex results.

As far as I understand. Photo-consistency use additional methods to remain consistency through all images in scene. As result it can be slower and can have some problems (or not) on noisy data.
Visual based one is give more priority to data of “better” visible cameras from this polygons.
This method a bit similar to Mosaic in some old tools, just have better result.
So in most cases Visual Based is preferred.

I think that people would like to have a tiny bit more information when asking such a question.
It would be nice if somebody would elaborate on Vlads suggestions.
Of course, trying it out is always the best option.
I never had good results with the consistency based one.
But there must be a reason why it’s been added… :?:

If you need more details than i was wrote. You need search research papers.
in other words, longer computation, more chances for bad result, but in some cases can have better results. Probably from perfect studio environment.

If I would be dealing with a Data Set shot overcast in a exterior environment, and would like to have the texture as flatten as possible, which one should I’m be targeting to use every time? In case I would’t have the time to test both?
I intend to run the asset through the Delight Tool in Unity.
The best would still be Visibility base?
