Textures Reverting Back To Default

Summary

When I go to change the texture of an object it changes back the next time i open the editor as well as in game. how do i fix this? i am setting custom meshes to the textures of the yacht deck (the indestructible one) the white cube glow texture, and the texture of the blue circle prop

Steps to Reproduce

import custom fbx model into the folder of your map, copy texture from a prop, paste the texture into the default texture for that custom mesh, click start or restart your editor

Expected Result

textures should stay during playtesting and upon opening the editor in a following session

Observed Result

textures are reverted to default

Upload an image

Instead of using Copy, scroll up to Material Instance and choose that.

Save it in your Project Folder, maybe make a materials folder.

Then use that Material Instance for the Material Slot
