Texture Settings are ignored when I click Texture

I have a 1000 tri model with a 4096 texture. 

I simplified the model to 200 tris. 

When I click Texture again, now it only makes a 512 texture. What’s going on?

I use settings to make a 1024 texture, but RC only creates a _very pixelated _512 texture. Why?

Let me know what texture resolution you would like and I can show you how to get it.

edit: sorry i missed the text between the images. It’s always better to use reprojection on a simplified model. This can actually be done just using the simplification tool, please try these settings.

Thanks for your reply! I tried simplifying the 10k model again with your unwrap settings, and it’s still just giving me super blurry, pixelated textures :frowning: Image below:

This is the maximum  there might be something about the geometry and the cams which will not allow a 1024 texture at 200 triangles. What do you plan on doing with the model after export?

It has to be a bug – I have 6 other models that I’m also decimating down to 200 tris (I’m using them all as game objects in a Unity project) and I captured all of the object photography with the same camera, same process, and there is WAY more resolution available in the source images than RC is using. I am at my wit’s end – I just can’t figure out what is preventing RC from unwrapping these models bigger!
