Texture Reprojection Gutter Error

When I produce a texture on a model normally it produces a correct gutter, there is a gradient sampling from the edge of each island to the island next to it. If I cut that model into section, re-unwrap and try to do a texture reprojection I get errors in the gutters, I get random color samplings that do not match the islands. This causes the edges of the polygons to be visible when mipmapping and is especially problematic in a game engine.

Hi greg,

do I understand you correctly, that your textured model and the one that you want to reproject onto have differing general geometry, as in only a fraction of the original model? Is it possible that RC gets confused by this?
