Hello everyone,
I have several scans that were taken with color mode on. Therefore, the registered scan data has colored points and the corresponding panorama images for each scan location. My steps in RC are to import .e57 files and align and generate mesh. Everything looks good until I go to generate UVs and textures. As you can see from the images, anything past 5-10 meters from the scanner looks blotchy. I am not using any photos that I took separately, just the scan data.
Is this an issue of the angle of the points from the scanner being mapped from a 2D image? I have tried numerous setting changes based on suggestions in the forum. I have a version of the model that has 100% texture quality with 150 textures generated, but I still have this issue. I have changed the Unwrapping style, the Texturing Style, increasing the Large Triangle Removal Threshold, the gutter size, and every permutation in-between.
I have looked through the forum, but I have not found any info related except the following post, which I replied to but never received a reply back.

As you can see in the photo, the areas around the scan positions look good, but anything past a certain distance has issues.
Any insight or links would be greatly appreciated.

Render from RC, you can see another scanner location behind the tree and the textures surrounding that location look good as well.
Settings used on this version. As I said before I tried multiple setting changes. This is just one example.
The .lsp of the same area if that is useful.
