Having a hard time getting textures to output well, and am not having much luck just trying various setting tweaks.
I’m working with initial images that are 5929 x 3963 (though the object being recreated is of course taking up only a portion of that).
The main thing here is that there cannot be any loss of quality from the input imagery to the output texture. How should I have the settings to make this happen?
Setting everything to 4K currently gets me the attached comparison (the low res being the texture output). I also either end up with a massive amount of black, unused texture space, or a bunch of garbled data (as in the other attachment). But when there is a bunch of black gradation (i.e. unused) texture space, the usable texture is still significantly lower resolution than the input. Thoughts?
Thanks a ton!
*** Also, I think the issues are likely somewhat different, but let me know if I should post this as a reply in the previous thread on “unwrap settings to use whole texture”, and I’ll remake it there. ***
