Text input with BP?


i created a SaveGame-System and would like to know if it is possible to create custom saves via text input.


Yeah, UI is *****, I would imagine that you need to do it with a HUD bp, and all valid keypress event(alphanumeric keys) will add to a string value, etc.
it certainly wouldn’t look pretty in BP, I’d suggest that you go the console game route with default save naming with info(ie have a icon or chapter info).

A textbox (that you can get a sting out of) added to canvas would be great, at least hold us over until that slate visual solution I think they are working on comes out.
