Testing RC vs PS - alignment

Hiya

Im a long time PS user, and am testing RC at work and home.

Im trying same photo datasets in both to compare.

For some reason Im having trouble in RC. On a set of 150 images (of a path, so long structure), in PS they all align but in RC they do not, instead they make 15 components.

Im using the suggested defaults:

align setting: 10k,80k,medium,1,2
adv: false, false, norm, 40k , medium, false,false,Brown3

On other sets , I seem to have these problems too.

Is it something that could be happening post process. For example if I run them thru Lightroom, should I allow it to run the dewarp, or is it better for RC to detect the warp (lens distortion)?

Do you usually expect our of the box, the default settings to at least align as well as PS, or are there options to play with?
My Camera is the sony a7R with 24-70mm @24mm

Thanks!!

Hmm

tried a few more, and RC has behaved well (really well infact) so maybe the first examples I tried had a more PS friendly capture setup,

I LOVE that the orientation is correct out of the box. that was a peev I had with PS . All the information for camera orientation is stored in the exif I imagine so no reason for it not to be aligned right way up.

Enjoying RC so far.

Hi pjenness

Try getting more images with a good MULTI-VIEW capture scenario when shooting…
