terrain z issues

I have a ue 5.5 project with heavy sculpting and z 1000 height, only in 3 areas. The other day I loaded project, and sadly, all the tall areas had been chopped off. There is no way I could have done it via any sculpt tool.

I tried to sculpt them back to z1000 height but the new chopped area ( all are perfectly flat, its how I know I couldn’t have done that and not touched anything else, at least not easily, no way, but it doesn’t work anymore. Somehow the height which shows 1000z, is no longer that, how could this have occurred, a bug ? How to fix ?

I’ll get pic if someone needs it, I think I’m describing it just fine tho.

Try looking into this thread

You probably just hit the limit of your height map. You can try adjusting the scale to offset this.

I think I’m missing something obvious, but I’ve looked for that setting in many places, and not seeing it, it wasn’t really defined in that thread, but then again I’ve not needed to be aware until now.

is the z offset just the z value for the terrain, but the other 3’ value that’s being referred to, I’ve no idea. Something tells me these values have nothing to do with terrain scaling.

Sorry, its not making sense.

NO ideA AT ALL really, but the HEIGHT IS back, feel like a song is worthy of this post o m g o_0

I was going to adjust landscape scale #s, but now its back to normal,I have a ‘hunch’, maybe, the rx card is failing ??

Or a 5.5 bug,or I altered some settings, and accidentally set it back to how it was.

Sounds silly, but I have no idea.
