I am not talking here about termination of subscription(as there is no penalty in that case) i am talking about termination of an online game project, lets say we had an online game and it produced some profit , where we gave unreal 5% of gross revenue , then we decided to terminate the game or close it, will unreal then have a penalty applied?
another question is, How does unreal trust us to pay 5% of our gross revenue?? somepeople may play into these profits to make it less.
second question: Think it’s handled like taxes?, they can look into your accounting/sales and if you do not pay your 5% it is like tax evasion, then you have to pay a lot of money (if they notice it -> what will happen most likely when your game is more popular).

Doubt very much that there would be a penalty, but I wonder why you would terminate a game if it’s still profitable?
I guess it’s just done on trust. Like in the UK when you have to pay your TV license.
Where they will get most of their money is from the big successes which make millions of pounds and then there is no way of hiding!
Although, it could be argued that actually the “tail”, the thousands of not so successful games would actually make more profit in total. But as long as a big percentage of them pay up they will do OK.
