Team members unable to download binary

Hi guys. We have our store page live here set to coming soon: https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/asylum-b7581f

Artifacts and binaries are set to live:

I have added two of our team members with permissions to download the product.

However, they’re unable to download the game via the Epic client. Not even me as the owner can download the game. Is this a misconfiguration?

Thanks!!

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out for support! I understand that you’re trying to download your game to your account, but you’re unable to do so. I’m happy to help with this!

Can you tell me how you’re trying to download your game? Have you granted yourself an access key for the Live sandbox? Once I understand the process you’re taking to add this game to your account, the more I can help!

I look forward to hearing back on this!

OK, maybe this is a misunderstanding from my part: what we want to do is to test implementation of achievements. What I did is grant a Dev sandbox key to a dev (it didn’t work) and also add two devs as members of our organization, which access to the product (it also didn’t work).

So the proper way to do this is to generate Live keys and distribute to our team members? Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for providing those additional details and what you’re trying to do! Instead of the Live key, you’ll want to use a Stage Sandbox Key as the Stage Sandbox is what our moderation team uses for testing. This will ensure you’re mirroring the test environment as much as possible.

However, I’m still concerned when you say that the keys didn’t work. Were they not able to redeem the keys to their account? If it was redeemed, was there an error when attempting to download the game? Any additional details about your experience would be greatly appreciated!

Hi again! OK, it’s a bit strange:

Both users have been added as members of the organization with access to the product:

This didn’t work, neither could download the game from the Epic client. I sent to member #2 a Dev sandbox test key, and it still didn’t work:

Redeeming the key resulted in a cryptic “Unable to retrieve…” message.

Now, today I generated two Staging test keys. Member #1 has access and was able to download the binary, so that’s good! However, member #2 still gets the same error message:

Not sure what’s going on…

Well, I was able to get both users now in the sandbox, but bizarrely they had to use their personal accounts. Emails with our domain senscape.net could redeem keys but the game wouldn’t show up, not even as members of the organization. I don’t understand the issue, but at least with personal they can test the game – not ideal, but we can proceed.
