Using a simple scene created 100% in UEFN, we’ll go over some of the lighting principles and devices available to users. We’ll take away all the complexity of richly modeled and textured game environments, as well as interactivity, to focus on lighting.
In this class, we’ll only use resources available in UEFN out of the box to model, light, and play, enabling you to create your own look. We’ll cover: basic lights, an introduction to light devices, environment light rig, lighting scalability manager, using a custom map or HRDI to light a scene.
While our main focus will be lighting, we will also look at some basic modeling, set dressing, and material choices available in UEFN.
