Unreal Engine has an evolving validation system, primarily for assets. LightspeedLA implemented enhancements to cover actors and restrict search depth for aggregate assets like Level Instances.
The result is a robust submission workflow that took the team from multiple build breakages a day to about two or three support requests a week, for sorting out assets errors prior to submission.
This session recorded at Unreal Fest Bali discusses this system, and also the future of validation, such as more user-friendly messaging, potential code and Blueprint validation, and self-serve error fixing via the Fixer framework.
