Hey there. I’m encountering some hiccups with UE5.3 and the Virtual Camera (VCAM) actor. Here’s the scenario: I’ve set up a straightforward sequence with a character and animations. Using my iOS device, I’ve linked the VCAM, and everything appears to be functioning correctly. I’ve added the desired actors to record in the Take Recorder. However, the snag arises when I press the record button in the Take Recorder.
Upon doing so, my current sequence closes, and a new one opens to begin recording. The issue? The character isn’t animating in this new sequence. So, while I can film the scene and review the take, it only shows a static character, with the exception of camera movement.
According to the UE5 documentation, when recording with the virtual cam:
“After connecting your iOS device to Unreal Engine via Live Link, you can record sequences or shots of your project’s animated scenes and characters using Take Recorder. When you start a recording via Take Recorder, Unreal Engine automatically plays the current [Level Sequence].”
However, this isn’t happening for me. Instead, a new sequence opens up when I hit record. I suspect I’m missing a step, but I can’t quite pinpoint it. Any guidance or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!
