A high-quality realistic Black male 3D character featuring detailed skin textures, natural athletic anatomy, realistic facial features, and complete body and facial rigging.
Designed for Unreal Engine 5 game development, cinematics, virtual production, character animation, NPC systems, digital humans, and real-time 3D applications.
This package includes a native Unreal Engine 5.8 project, FBX files, and Blender files, providing a complete character workflow for Unreal Engine and additional flexibility for character editing and customization.
The character features natural adult male proportions, a defined athletic physique, short textured black hair, expressive eyes, and highly detailed skin materials with realistic surface texture and natural light response.
He is presented wearing gray boxer briefs, making him suitable for base character development, clothing customization, realistic human simulations, and various character-driven projects.

Unreal Engine Project Features
The included Unreal Engine 5.8 project provides a native character setup for game development, real-time rendering, and cinematic production.
The Overview Map showcases the character's body-motion presentations, material examples, and visual appearance.
The Unreal Engine editor preview displays the following technical information:
Skeletal Mesh LOD0: 101,277 triangles
Skeletal Mesh LOD0: 78,437 vertices
Material Slots: 26
The character uses a custom body and facial skeleton. Compatibility with external animation libraries may require skeletal retargeting rather than direct use of an identical Epic Mannequin skeleton.
Important Geometry Differences Between Formats
Blender (.blend)
Preserves the complete underlying body skin mesh, including areas covered by clothing.
The body skin geometry beneath the boxer briefs has not been removed.
Suitable for workflows requiring access to the complete body geometry for character editing and clothing customization.
FBX (.fbx)
Prepared for Unreal Engine 5 character import workflows.
The underlying body skin mesh concealed beneath the clothing has been removed.
This reduces unnecessary hidden geometry and overlapping mesh surfaces.
Areas covered by clothing do not contain a complete underlying body mesh.
Both formats retain body skeletal rigging and facial expression support.
Recommended Uses
Suitable for realistic male NPCs, athletic male characters, human base characters, modern civilians, game protagonists, supporting characters, character customization, clothing development, cinematic productions, virtual humans, and realistic simulation projects.
Unreal Engine Version Compatibility
Native Unreal Engine Project
The supplied native Unreal Engine project is designed for Unreal Engine 5.8.
The native project should not be assumed to be backward compatible with earlier Unreal Engine versions.
FBX Compatibility with Other UE5 Versions
The included FBX character can be imported into other compatible Unreal Engine 5 versions using the appropriate FBX import workflow.
For better material, shader, and overall visual results when importing FBX into Unreal Engine 5, we recommend downloading and installing the latest compatible version of Reallusion Auto Setup for Unreal Engine from the official website:
Select the plugin version compatible with your target Unreal Engine version and follow the official installation instructions.
FBX import compatibility is separate from native Unreal Engine project compatibility.
Unreal Engine-specific animation systems, demonstration scenes, and associated project assets are supplied within the native UE project and are not necessarily included in the same form in the FBX or Blender files.
Important Notes
This package includes a native Unreal Engine 5.8 project, FBX (.fbx), and Blender (.blend) files.
The Blender version preserves the complete underlying body skin mesh.
The FBX version has concealed body skin geometry beneath clothing removed.
The character is presented wearing gray boxer briefs.
External Unreal Engine animation libraries may require retargeting and adjustments.
Reallusion Auto Setup is not included and must be downloaded separately from the official website.
Promotional poses, lighting, and screenshots are for character presentation purposes only.
UE Project Requirements and Documentation
Distribution: Complete Project. Keep Config, Content and AfricanMale4.uproject together. Native target: UE 5.8.3, Windows DX12/SM6.
English UE 5.8 User Guide (PDF) - installation, map and controller steps, facial/animation preview, plugin dependencies and troubleshooting. The same guide is included in Documentation.
Required enabled Unreal Engine plugins (included with the compatible UE installation):
AnimationData - retained animation sequence data.
ChaosCloth - serialized CC mesh dependency; no authored cloth-simulation feature is claimed.
ControlRig - CC body/face authoring and demonstration rigs.
ControlRigSpline - spline units used by retained CC control rigs.
EnhancedInput - playable Demo input actions, mappings and controller settings.
FullBodyIK - PBIK solver units in retained control rigs.
IKRig - included IK rigs and retargeters.
LiveLink - optional CC facial/Live Link authoring blueprints; external capture hardware was not tested.
RigVM - required execution/serialization modules for retained control rigs.
Reallusion RLPlugin was used for import and is disabled/excluded from the prepared UE delivery. The already prepared project does not require the importer to open. Temporary production audit helpers are not shipped.
