Elevate your character and creature pipelines with SylViewSmooth, a robust subdivision tool. Designed specifically for Unreal Engine, it allows you to generate true subdivided Skeletal Meshes directly inside the editor, bridging the gap between high-end offline rendering and real-time engines.

Whether you are working on high-fidelity cinematics, complex groom setups, or detailed hard-surface robots, SylViewSmooth preserves your entire rigging pipeline while multiplying your geometric resolution.

Key Features:

  • True Subdivision Generation: Safely subdivides Skeletal Meshes up to your desired level.

  • Zero Rigging Loss: Automatically transfers and preserves Skin Weights (No Skin Deformation!), Bone Influences, and Physics Assets.

  • Seamless Morph Targets: Shared Blendshapes are perfectly subdivided and injected directly into RAM without breaking your animations.

  • Advanced Displacement: Full support for True Displacement and Vector Displacement, including UDIM texture map workflows.

  • Groom & Cloth Ready: Automatically generates higher-level Groom Bindings and fully supports Chaos Cloth for next-gen character simulation.

  • Pipeline Control: Built-in UI to load and save Custom Presets.

Tech Art & Advanced Controls: SylViewSmooth gives you absolute control over the generation process through dedicated Editor Utility Widgets:

  • Multiple UV Preservation Modes: Choose how seams are handled (Preserve Edges, Corners, or None for procedural setups).

  • Crease Edges & Hard Surface: Options to keep crease edges and isolate Topological Shells, ensuring perfect bevels on robotic and mechanical parts without melting intersections.

  • Precision Tweaks: Full access to Unreal's Build Settings (MikkTSpace, High Precision Tangent Basis, 16-bit Skin Weights, and custom Vertex Welding tolerances).

Please Note: This tool utilizes the OpenSubdiv library. A copy of the Tomorrow Open Source Technology License 1.0 is included in the plugin files.

So lets say i have an low poly character ~1000 polygons .. from an AI tool - can you clean the mesh and readjust the bone binding so no weird twisting is happening?
I am just not getting what the plugin can do or what it can not do

Hey there, nope this is a tool that aim to recreate the subdivision system from blender/maya/3ds max for skeletal meshes, this is not a remesher/binding cleaner sorry
