What is a reasonable/affordable configuration for solo development? I like laptops; what should I pay? I have a lot of fast USB SSDs. I can open up computers and replace/upgrade/install hardware; have tools. Currently using 2013 Mac Pro w/ eGPU (RX-590 Sapphire), D-300 2ea, 64 GB ram, 1TB internal. Mac user since 1988.
I wouldn’t use a laptop for UE. I blew a very good one up doing that, literally. The thing basically goes into orbit.
Desktop is the way I’m afraid. I7 4 cores ( or more ), 16GB RAM, decent GPU, SSD.
