Switchboard Hitching Due To Two Network Connections

Hi,

In our Virtual Production Studio we have a number of PCs which have an internal network and an external network connection. When we come to launch Switchboard everything works fine until the project is launched. Every 5 seconds the project will freeze on our non-Editor nodes for a moment, then start again. It also does not connect to a Multi-User Server.

However, if we disable the outbound network connection before launching Switchboard (leaving the internal network connection enabled) and then re-enable it once Switchboard has loaded, the project loads fine with no hitching. The issue is that this workflow is not very user-friendly and causes issues with the people we’re teaching the workflow to.

Does anyone have any idea why disabling the outbound connection might fix the issue and if there’s any way to prevent Switchboard from seeing this connection at all? I’ve tried adding firewall rules for the Python program elements that Switchboard uses but it doesn’t seem to affect it!

Thanks!

Do you force Switchboard Listener to use a specific NIC?
