as I am coming from 3d package like maya/mudbox is it possible to switch the Y axis to point up ? Right now X is pointing up… and its frustrating the models are coming pointing into unexpected direction.

you can change this EASILY in the Maya/3Ds Max IMPORT settings. RC does not allow this for now…

Not sure about 3ds max but in Maya there is as far as I am aware only global World Coordinate System > Up axis Y and Z option. I don’t want to change the axis globally!!!
I couldn’t find in the import settings any option to switch the axis. If you could point me that would be helpful.
I think many RC users seems confused with not being able to switch the Up axis so I feel this should tell the developers that its an important feature to have.

It been 3 yrs since this feature was requested. I guess developers have seen this feature as “unimportant”.
Well, we can see today that photogrammetry has now become an important part of workflows on all games and vfx studio, architectural firms and the like - clearly, this feature should have been there on top of the list.
