Switch between "skeletal mesh" and "material instance" on the fly

Hi everyone, new to Unreal Engine here!
I’ve been following some tutorials here and there and now I’ve stopped at a point where I can’t follow it.

I’m using the Vehicle Template from EU 5.3, I made a copy of the car and the idea is to start the game with a standard mesh and material and be able to switch to a different mesh and material and be able to go back and forth.

Currently I can change to the next mesh and material but I can’t go back to the one where the game starts.

I’ll post some prints showing what it’s like so far.
