Swapping default skeletal mesh

I want to replace the default first person skeletal mesh with my own. I’ve modeled the arms and copied the default rig in blender. All I wanna do is swap the default arms for mine, but when I do my animations don’t work. How do I swap out meshes successfully?

Hi @pterafier1, I migh know the cause of your issues.

You see when you change a static mesh, you MIGHT have to change the animations as well. This depends on the skeleton of your animations and the skeleton of your new model. If the skeleton is 100% the same, there should be no problem, but if there is some slight differences you will need to transfer the animation data to your new character. You can do this by retargeting the animations from your old character to your new one.
