Hello! I would like to share with you the process of creating my first UE location. This is a personal project for my portfolio , it has been done for several months already.
Initially, I could not decide on the theme of the scene, so I made two different scenes drafts:

and
Survivor’s house

As you can see from the title of the topic, I chose the second option. I started working on the environment and began to roughly estimate how many assets for the scene I would need. At this stage, I realized that there were too many assets and it was decided to drop one of the rooms, I closed it with a door. This is how my scene looked in the second stage:

I was decided to drop this room:

At the next stage, the location was divided into modules (walls, windows, doorways), added basic colors for drafts assets, started working on assets. The size of the location and the location of the assets on scene were almost finalized.

Now the location has acquired an almost complete look, cameras have been exposed, lighting has been adjusted, but this is the final version, they will be finalized. In general, there is still work to do. There are plans to add decals, work on vegetation, particles, fix some assets.
