Support for merging AnimSequence uassets under version control

Hi, I posted a question about merging AnimSequences on AnswerHub a while ago hoping for either some info from Epic about tool support, or a better workflow to work around my problem.
Since there’s been no joy on either front, I’m assuming it’s something that can’t be worked around.

So to restate: can merging AnimSequence uassets with [FONT=courier new]UE4Editor.exe -diff be supported? Converting from binary to text already works, external tools already handle merging text, all that’s needed is converting back to binary. Of course you could end up with badly done text merges, so I’d expect it to just fail any kind of invalid input. This would really help any team where animation-driven gameplay, particles and sounds aren’t done by the same person.
