I have a question about the support-a-creator code as I would like to apply when I reach 1000 subscribers.
Do you need to be 18 to apply? If you do and you are a child, can you have your parent use their information or use their account.

That’s correct. You need to be a legal adult according to the laws of your country, so the required age depends on where you live.
Since this is a program to monetize your island and it is strictly specified that you must be of legal age, I wouldn’t risk using your parents’ account. This could violate Epic’s rules, and as a result, your account could be suspended.
I don’t know how long until you reach the legal age, but in the meantime, take advantage of this time to absorb all the knowledge about the engine and apply it to your awesome island

Just adding that you don’t need to be in Support-A-Creator but Island Creator to publish Projects (Assuming this is why you’re on the dev forums) unfortunately that still requires being 18+ and has similar requirements to the sac code, just without the 1k follower requirement
