Support-A-Creator Account Has Been Closed

I’ve been approved as an island creator for several months. After developing an island and running into a problem with the checkpoint devices, I put dev on hold to wait until it was fixed.
I have a new project I’ve been building custom assets for and have just tried to upload it - no dice. I have now received an email to say my support a creator account has been closed??? I have submitted all my tax info etc and was approved for Hyperwallet. I really don’t know how to proceed. If there is anyone who can help or has experience of the same thing who can tell me what to do/who to contact that would be great.

I would recommend contacting Epic Games Player Support.

I was just deactivated too last night. Email saying its because I didn’t finish my bank set up in 60 days however I have my Hyperwallet all set up. I was approved back in April and it took 7 months for something that is supposed to happen in 60 days. It must be an error. Support is only leaving replies that are genaric replies, ie list all possible reasons my account was deactivated instead of giving me the actual reason.

I agree, I think it must be an error. I believe the issue stems from the fact that the support-a-creator program didn’t exist when I signed up in April/May. I can’t see any emails warning me of the account being shut down in X days…just the “your account is closed” message. I’m really hoping I can get the account reactivated without having to go through the application process again . :flushed:

Same thing happened to me. I contacted chat and they told me there is a 90 day cool down period before I can re-apply again. Really terrible policy Epic…shame on you!

No email warning you will be closed, just close it up.

This is absolutely insane. I have been really polite in my emails with support but it’s like talking to a brick wall. To be clear:

  • I received 1 email referencing a program I didn’t sign up for and mentioning earning money (I wasn’t interested in earning money so didn’t think it applied).
  • My account was then closed (no emails/notifications in between)
  • I can not re-apply to the original program until December

So, new people who have had nothing to do with Epic can spend 7 days in UEFN (or $75) and get into the program 3 months before I can even apply.

I have an account which I’ve had for several years in good standing, with Hyperwallet/KYC/Tax info provided and because I didn’t click a link in a 1-time email relating to a program I didn’t sign up for, I’m now penalised in this way. Absolutely insane behaviour.

I was half way through my application to become a legitimate creator and I suffered a Subarachnoid Haemorrhage (SAH) in Oct 13. I then completed the paperwork in July 2014 as I had a 10 month stay in hospital. Epic closed my application as I didn’t submit the payment form the “hyper wallet” I think they called it.

I contacted Epic to explain what had happened and got replies from Alpha, Beta and Charlie, I kid you not. They had closed my application and I could never apply for a Creator Code in that account again. I have subsequently grown in popularity not to the size of the Ninja’s and Faze crew out there but have spoken to members of Faze and discussed this who are gobsmacked at the company’s response.

Will you reopen my case that’s all I’m asking don’t know if this way will work but I won’t stop trying just like I won’t stop trying to fully recover from the SAH. I now have nearly 7K followers on (Twitch)

I did get an email about 5 months after this tweet and they said they made a mistake and closed my account to soon, because of the issue, and asked me to reapply again. I did and got back in.
