'/SunPosition/SunSky' is not a standard unreal filename or a long path name. Packaging issue

The above error is stopping me from packaging my game

I’ve tried:

  • Deleting the sky
  • Deleting a plugin with a “sky” in it
  • Recompiling the Sky Sphere
  • Other solutions to similar issues
  • Looking for “SunSky” and “SunPosition” in every folder of my project
  • Looking for “SunSky” and “SunPosition” in all blueprints using the find in blueprints tool
  • Looking for “SunSky” and “SunPosition” in the project directory in a file browser

Some info on my drive got corrupted recently, maybe that’s the issue? I’ve heard of corrupt files causing similar errors.

The error is too vague; I don’t know what “SunSky” refers to.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hey there @pdwallace08! So I’m thinking it’s full file path is far too long and it’s having trouble with it. Check and see if the full path itself is over 260 characters. If so you may have to move the project a couple of folders less deep or enable long paths in windows.

Thank you for the reply, however, I looked back in the Output log and realized there was an accompanying error that I could easily fix. After I fixed it was packaged with no issues.
