Sun and Sky Actor's North offset in sequencer

How to animate the north position / offset of the “Sun and Sky Actor” in the sequencer ?
I cannot create “north offset” keyframes in the sequencer timeline.
If this is not possible, is there any workaround for this?

I made a slider in an UI to change the north offset. But it only takes affect after the time is being changed too. So there are clearly some limitations to it. The docu mentions something but it is a bit cryptic to me. That values are getting reset for consistency reasons. I think the current model doesn’t take into account that anyone would change the north direction in real time. And to be honest, it doesn’t change on the planet earth when you move around.
I think at the moment this isn’t possible and rotating the actor itself will probably not work either.
