Suggestions on getting unreal engine to open on a Macbook Pro?

I am trying to get unreal running on my Macbook Pro (2019,16 in, 2.6 GHz 6-core intel core i7). No matter what I do to launch unreal through the epic launcher it starts to load and then seemingly crashes with no error codes. I have tried multiple versions of unreal, tried verifying it, as well as deleting unreal as well as the launcher and redownloading. My macbook is running sonoma 14.5 and I have gcode installed as well, I am very unsure with what is wrong. Will unreal just not run on mac? or do I need to use a really old version? Or is the problem that I am just doing something very wrong (it is probably this). Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

what GPU you have? and if you can

try downloading some older unreal versions, see if any of them works

this links basically tells you that you better have windows or Linux because apple are and idiotic corporation that decided they will not support the open source Vulkan architecture. which is not a surprise given the anti-consumer behavior that apple always implement in all their products.
