From your knowledge, is Faro Scene the only software that can create “fake” virtual scans to export an ordered e57 point cloud for RC?
I’m evaluating a BLK360 with Cyclone 360, should I go instead with a faro focus70 with FaroScene if it’s the only software able to convert a unordered point cloud?
Is it still the case that Faro Scene is the only known software for converting unordered drone LiDAR scans into ones compatible with RC? Like others, I’m trying to find a solution to take drone LiDAR scans and enhance them with photogrammetry. Getting ahold of Faro Scene without a Faro scanner seems very expensive.
Hi Barrverian, there wasn’t change in this. What I know, you should be able to create an ordered point cloud also in Cyclone, but I think it is still the same.
Please add my vote for this feature too. Id like to import DJI L1 Captured Point Clouds into RC to combine with photos and bring the precision of areal photogrammetry to the next level.
Add my vote as well please, if its still not there. I genuinely believe that RC shines the most in the ability to combine laser scans and photogrammetry compared to few other solutions that are on the market, so focusing more on this particular aspect would be very beneficial for both RC and customers.
Please add my vote for this. I use RC to process Leica BLK3D image group data in .cmi file format. At the moment point cloud exporting of this data appears to be limited to unstructured data? This is causing me a problem when trying to import and register the point clouds with other scan data. Might the time-stamped camera locations and poses be used as scan locations in order to create structured data ? For each camera location and pose might the mesh be used to filter out those points that would not be visible from the camera location ?
