I was sat thinking about all the copy/paste maps. Someone will create a template ie brainrot then sell it on their patreon. After some time the map will turn free and itll be passed about and thus starts the saturation of the ecosystem.
1. Can epic make it against the rules to firstly sell/share maps/templates in there entirety ?
- Can Epic put something in some project file only accessible to Epic and not editable via text editor ect so only the creator can use the map. I’m sure every creator has a unique id it wouldn’t be hard surely to do a check ie if this map creator code isn’t the original creator then the new creator cannot publish. Could be a check when you come to publish ???
Just adding these 2 things would help somewhat with the ecosystem. It would reward original creators again and not gangs of people publishing template maps just to cash grab.
Just a thought.
