[Suggestion] E-mail Subscription ability / Voting / Better Browsing...

Greetings!

I think it would be cool if we can:

1- Subscribe to marketplace developers that we like, and get e-mail notifications on anything they release/update. The amount of added content is relatively small at this point, but moving forward, it’d be quite tough to follow up with stuff.

2- Vote on content/developers (1 - 5 stars for example), so we can search by most popular folks/stuff.

3- Categorize content for easier browsing/searching.

4- View pending submissions and being able to vote on them too. This would save us time going through this forum section to see what might be coming up, and also help Epic prioritize their review schedule.

What do you guys think?

All good suggestions.
Also, I don’t see the point of this early voting from Epics guys just by screenshots and text.
Pretty soon, they will realize that this is a wasting of time, and as submissions quantity grows fast, it will impossible for them to keep this process. So, waste of time voting for products before it gets released.

If they have the man power for it, why not. It’ll greatly minimize frustrations with low-quality work.

It would be better, for all submitting go right into Trello, without Epic looking at it. Then, people would vote. And Epic would only look at the products that have enough votes. This would make the process a lot faster, and would keep the quality requirements as well.

hey guys! Thanks for all the feedback - some responses below

This makes sense, right now we’re highlighting new content on our blog each week as it is released. In the future, that may evolve into something a bit more digestible

Ratings are on our list of things to consider moving forward as well!

Same as ratings - on our list

Currently, we review everything that comes through before it gets to you all for voting. The process usually takes around a week to get out to the public board, most delays to that are due to inadequate information from the submission. They usually end up on the public board as soon as they’re complete and adhere to the guidelines. The last thing we want is for the public voting Trello to be full of cards with half of the info necessary to make a voting decision on (which has been the case historically). Also, with everything above, we are looking into ways to continue to improve the process and bring things to you all quicker  We’ve been walking in on the shallower end of the pool to make sure that the Marketplace is a valuable resource to you all.

Changing the order in which the reviews happen wouldn’t expedite the process from submission to deployment. As mentioned above, a large number of delays come from not having the information necessary to move forward with.

Thanks for the feedback! We are actively working internally on making the whole process quite a bit faster, but we appreciate everyone’s patience in these early days

Well, at least it would give you guys more time to do anything else, because you would only have to look at those submissions that have enough votes on Trello, instead of having to look at all submissions. Righ now, if you have 100 submissions, you would have to look at them all, right? If changing the order, and all submissions go right into Trello, and people vote, and only 15 submissions have enough votes ( lets say that the limit is 10 votes ), you would only have to look at 15 submissions instead of 100.
Anyway, it was just a suggestion.
