Subsurface Material Not Working?

Hello all,

Searching for an answer to a texturing issue I’m having here on the forms.

I’m trying to setup a subsurface material that uses an influence mask, I’ve followed the documentation regarding the process and have my node structure in place but it still doesn’t seem to work.

Can anyone tell what’s missing here in order to get the desired effect of having different levels of blue texture to appear in regards to the influence mask?
