Sub Levels deprecated?

Someone mentioned that Sub Levels are deprecated in favor of using Level Instances and Data Layers.
Is this true, or can Sub Levels and Level Instances co-exist?

I think the only sense that sub levels ever existed in was as streamed levels read into the persistent level. That concept still exists.

And, now there’s world partition.

Thanks. Just trying to get some sense of the pros and cons for each for collaborative workflows.
And there seems to be some indication that Epic is pushing for a single level approach…just trying to confirm this.

I think they’re trying to accommodate teams and open worlds. Hence the ‘one file per actor’ and world partition.
