Sub-Anim not restarting on being valid

Hey everyone,

I’m struggling with sub anim instances. I use a blend node to switch to using a sub anim instance and exit on input. when i re-enter this subanim it continues to transition fom the node it left on previously rather than starting from entry. I thought it was always meant to start from entry but this is not the case. Am I missing something or is this intended behaviour for sub anim instances

For the moment I have copied the state machine into the main anim blueprint and use that with a blend node. This works as expected. The fact this doesn’t happen in sub anim instances is either an issue or my misunderstanding.
