stupid bots of moderation

I’m making a follow-up post because the sheer level of incompetence and apathy from Epic Games / Fab Support is honestly mind-blowing. If you think there’s a safety net when their automated system messes up — think again.

The Endless Loop of Bot Errors & Human Apathy

Here is the reality of how Fab “moderation” works in 2026:

  1. A glitchy bot/AI flags your product by mistake for violating a rule that you already complied with from day one (in my case, banning a fully compliant asset for “not being marked as Mature” when the Mature Content flag was active before publishing).

  2. The automated appeal portal instantly rejects your appeal without a single human ever looking at the actual submission data or product flags.

  3. The system permanently locks the appeal portal, leaving you with zero official ways to request a re-review.

“Human Support” Is Just a Polite Wall

So what happens when you go to Live Chat to talk to an actual person?

They hit you with polite copy-pasted responses while completely ignoring the facts. They acknowledge the deadlock, admit they “don’t have the buttons” to fix safety sanctions, and then reveal that they won’t even escalate the ticket to a human manager because an automated script already marked the case as “closed.”

Nobody inspects the files. Nobody checks the logs. Nobody cares.

They built an automated system that breaks, and instead of giving human support the tools to fix it, humans just hide behind the bots and wash their hands of it.

They Take Your Money, You Take the Fall

When a creator’s asset gets mistakenly banned right before a payout, it’s not just an inconvenience — it freezes your hard-earned royalties.

It is completely unacceptable for a billion-dollar company like Epic Games to run a marketplace where buggy automated algorithms carry out bans, and human support simply gives zero effort to audit obvious system errors.

If you are a 3D artist relying on Fab for income, be aware: you are completely on your own. The bots run the show, and the humans behind the desk simply don’t give a ■■■■.

Hi @sanyapust,

I responded to a different thread where you shared your feedback and asked if you contacted Fab support. Seeing this thread i understand that you did contact them as well.

Please allow me to investigate and get back to you.
