Stuff Missing or Bug

I found that it is not possible to compile Unreal Lightmass, if you downloaded your UE4 from the Epic Games Launcher instead of Github.

A whole chunk of project files in Visual Studio(which contains UnrealLightmass.cpp) will be totally missing if you got your UE4 from Epic Games Launcher instead of Github.

Am i the only one who has this experience? Can someone corroborate?


The engine source from the launcher is only there for exploring the code, you can’t compile anything.

If you want to build your own engine you need to download it from github.
