this failure is due to server problem looking back in the Fortnite Status logs we find

All from 11 November and 12 November until 20 minutes ago there were various errors
Tried both you island codes now WORKING.
ALL USERS will have delays of 2 minutes at 98% whilst servers recover.
Patches are coming out every TWO days to fix UEFN/FNC problems.
REMIX 32.00 will have updates every Friday/Saturday 06:00 to 08:00 in November Matchmaking servers will be down
UEFN/FNC networks get patched on Monday/Wednesday 06:00 to 08:00 UTC remember that networks in each region will be busy causing Matchmaking retries
Patches every Fortnite (Fortnight =14 days) are now coming every 6 to 7 days.
I just tried my Nintendo, which took 5 minutes to load at 98/99% to update, as opposed to 2 minutes for the PC. Even longer for Xbox
My Xbox is still waiting to update maybe need to clear the cache and re-install 32.00, always does that. Oh yeah goes back to lobby if Xbox Live network has an error on ANY island
