The problem with structs is (and has been) non related to engine version it seems such an important aspect has been left broken several things related to structs don’t work and some will just crash the editor
broken : set struct member when using struct inside an array (offcourse i have read the WORKAROUNDS they are ridiculease when it comes to complicated structs setting them up each time would take a ludicrous time and using a function won’t help since i would still have to refrence every thing
Crashes: have the struct open and breake an instance of it in a blueprint do something like settinga value based on it or setting a member now have that open change tab to struct and do some playing around like removing a variable or changing a variable type and you get a nice crash in there (as my repo shows it’s unpredictable and i am not 100 percent sure it has to do with what i’ve said but i have hadn’t any when i close al my tabs and do something related to structs so it deffinetly has to do with having the struct tab and a blueprint tab with that struct in it)
ENUM:
this has happned 4 times already my enum is reset and all my mebers turn in to Enumeration 1,Enumeration 2,…
also adding a member to an enum or editing it with an instance open in another blueprint has sometimes (not always) resulted in a crash
sometimes when i add enums they don’t show up and the page is blank i close the tab and reopen it and evey enum i had triedto add has been added once and only once what ever i did the enum woul not show anything so clicking new wouldn’t do anything i tried closing and reopening but no luck
Not being able to work with two very key programming features without constant crashes and just plain not working tools is realy too much
and most of my frustration is because i have had these issues in latter versions so every time i have avoided using them but as things get more advanced not using them becomes realy hard
