Hello everyone, I have recently uploaded my game to the play console for inside testing and gave opportunity for my friends to play the game. One of them has this strange bug on screen (Samsung galaxy s22). Does anyone knows what could cause this problem?
Could be a damaged unit. Looks a bit like the space invader artifacts would appear on the 2080 cards which had damaged vram.
Does his phone play other 3d games ok? Is it just your project that shows errors on his phone?
He said that this happend only in my game.
Does it use TSR? Could it be a reconstruction bug? If so can you try a build with TSR disabled and check on the phone?
This is in rendering->default setting->anti-aliasing method? it is not used in my game and it is set “none”.
PS. My friend send me picture of the game where part of one of the characters head can be seen. He said he put this character on game main screen and went to settings. Then this appeared.
TBH It looks like hardware artifacts. (perhaps it’s getting the wrong memory addresses).
Best choice of action would be to test it on another s22 (or closest model) and see if it’s a problem with the phone interpreting the textures or a physical defect.
If the other phone runs the game fine, then your buddy’s phone could be damaged.
Hi Fon-Rachello,
I know that mobile GPUs do tile-based rendering, and this seems like it could be related to that type of rendering.
So, I wonder if it is a problem with your friends hardware, or if there is an issue with that specific GPU.
Unfortunately i don’t know how to check if it is only his problem because he is only one with s22. Everyone who also played has older phones and noone faced such problems.
PS. I checked your link and there right below phone image is list of versions. Are these phone versions could face this problem? I asked my friend about his phone version and his version(SM-S901B/DS) is in this list.
Okay, my friend recently wrote to me that game is fixed. He said that he just upgraded his phone to the last android version . Thanks everyone for replies.
