Hello Everyone,

We have received some questions and requests from our customers regarding the Blueprint Kitbashes, so I wanted to share this information and tool with you.

When we developed this product, we included the Kitbashes as Blueprints because “Level Instances” (which were a new feature at the time) were not permitted under Fab’s guidelines.

I have created a simple tool (an Editor Utility Widget) that converts these Kitbashes (including Hierarchical Instanced Static Mesh Components, Instanced Static Mesh Components, and Static Mesh Components) into Static Mesh Actors.

In short, this tool allows you to unpack the meshes while preserving their original (world) positions. This should make it easier for you to create your own designs and Kitbashes.

I created this tool for Unreal Engine 5.8. If you would like to use it with an older version, simply open the tool in any UE 5.8 project and copy its contents and code (as the file itself may not be recognized if copied directly into an older version).

You can find the attachments (Blueprint file and Code images) below.

I hope you find it useful.

Best regards…
