How much storage space is required to install 5.8.1 version in Ubuntu? The downloaded zip size is 39GB and I have 120GB space left. When I am extracting, it says there is not enough space.
@IcyCockroach6844 hello there! 120 GB free after downloading the 39 GB ZIP may still not be enough. The archive expands significantly when extracted, and UE source builds can require well over 100 GB during extraction/building. Try freeing additional space (Iād recommend at least 150-200 GB free total) or extract to a larger drive.
@McMillJon Hi, Thanks for your reply. I was extracting from the file system (right-click ā extract). I searched on the internet and found that it will not require much space when extracting using a terminal command. Now only 70GB space was used after extracting.
