Hello again everyone, I’ll start off this post with saying that well, I’m still having issues with my shotting system. So, the general idea that I’m going for just to recap is when I press my left mouse button I want my aim reticle to either be in the middle, left, or right of my screen. When I release the left mouse button, I want the aim reticle to either be collapsed or removed from the viewport/parent. Now depending on where my character is facing depends on where the aim reticles is gonna be positioned on the screen. If the player character is facing left, the aim reticle is facing left, if it’s facing right, the image is facing right etc. I know that becuase it’s blueprints, there’s lots of ways of almost essentially doing the same thing obviously but I’m looking for opinions on what’s the best way of doing this the simplest way. If you could link me any youtube videos or tutorials here, that be awesome. I did watch this morning a video from Kekdot: that specific video is right here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7b7a20j0azc but because I’m not looking to make a full fledged game. I feel I shouldn’t have to do it entirely the way he did it.
With that being said, hope this post isin’t a wall of text but maybe this is just a question that I can only solve but should I still continue submitting this project for the game jam submission even though I feel I’m just not gonna complete what I want to in the time remaining with this game jam and just learn from this expereience and do better in the next one? Appreciate and feedback and advice as ever and looking forward to reading your suggestions!!
