Anyone else disappointed by Stellaris? Simplistic and missing systems… Music is great though. Thoughts?

I like stellaris. I spent an entire night playing.
I’ve lost 36 hours into it so far already - it seems like a solid game to me. I don’t think the game mechanics are overly simplistic as much as they are transparent easy to understand, which is a good thing. Being a Paradox game, you also know it’s going to get iterated on and added to a fair deal after release too. I think my grip with it, is that if you play it with the default settings, it’s just too slow and nothing really happens. Playing on a smaller map with more factions than recommended worked well, as it served to introduce a lot more conflict (then the game got more interesting!)
