Have you tried with a shorter text description? I had a mod upload failing because the mod description was too long, but when I shortened it I was able to upload without issues. The error was very unintuitive, though I don’t remember if it said anything about limit exceeded. Now I just upload my mod with a short description and edit it via the Steam Workshop after upload to say what I want it to say
I have yet to use the steamcmd (plan on trying that out tonight) but I do the same thing as Sleepy to avoid similar upload issues. For me, it was throwing upload errors because of “using special ASCII characters” or some such nonsense. So I keep my official mod descs in a txt file on my Desktop, upload my mods with a simple one-liner desc and then immediately change the desc on the Workshop after the upload is finished. That might help you out.
Once I try out steamcmd, if I find I’m having the same issue as you, I’ll let you know.
What are the dimensions of your picture? There is a limit to that aswell.
all my new pictures are now under 150kb and this works fine… i think they changed the it from 1 MB to 150Kb
