SteamAPI_Init() failed; connect to global user failed.

Hi,

Anyone know what would cause Steam to fail like this. I had a working a few days ago and now it tries to initialize but fails with:

[S_API] SteamAPI_Init(): Loaded ‘D:\Steam\steamclient64.dll’ OK.
[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; connect to global user failed.

This happens when I try and debug a cooked version. The last packaged build I uploaded to Steam worked fince but I’d need to do some debugging.

JUst noticed that if I change my AppID to 480 I then steam does initialize correctly. That’s weird, I have the correct AppID for my game. Is there something I need to do on Steamworks?

You’re probably either not logged in, or (as was the case with me) logged in with your 2nd account. I have separate “work” and “personal” Steam accounts…
