Steam Audio problems

I would like to make a game for the blind, based on echolocation, the sound coming from the player bounces off the walls and returns, giving an auditory image of the environment.
The effect, however, is not convincing. Something is wrong. I set it up as stated here Steam Audio in Unreal Engine: Quickstart Tutorial - YouTube except for Reverb Settings which I set to real-time as all sounds will be dynamic.
I created a simple room, added PhononProbeVolume and the effect is that in one place the sound is muffled, in another there is a multiplied echo, even though the room is even, or they go through walls. Probes with PhononProbeVolume generate only in a certain small place on the map, I think where I generated them for the first time. Otherwise they do not appear.
I do not understand this.
