Static Vert/Surf Location ?

is there anyway to emit particle from a static mesh ? instead of using skeleton ? i was using Static Vert/Surf Location in UDK , but dont know why its deleted from particle system now.

I would be very interested in this as well. Going by this video it seems to be possible at least, but I have no idea if it requires extra coding or if there’s a way to do it within Cascade.

you can do it simply by using Skeletal Vert/Surf Location , particle will emit from character surface, i dont want to set my object to be a skeletal , i guess there is no way for now ! just dont understand why “static vert/surf location” is deleted from particle system
